The first pitch contest of our brand new Startup Tour took place just a few days ago in Berlin. 7 of Germany’s hottest startups had been selected to pitch on stage in front of investors, entrepreneurs and media. The jury was composed of David Schwarz (of Carrefour, global sponsor of LeWeb’s Startup Tour), Alexander Kölpin (WestTech Ventures), Alex Hofmann (Gründerszene), and Cem Ergün-Müller (Startupnight). Before pitching, the selected startups got some precious tips from the contest’s host Rodrigo Barros (of HandsOn.TV; interview here), who will host the next chapters of the Tour as well.

The room was quickly packed – a little more pressure for the contestants!
The session ended with a big surprise, as not one, but two startups were selected to pitch in Paris in December, at the LeWeb Startup Competition! local.app and Cuciniale won the contest thanks to their original ideas, their energy and the sustainability of their projects:

The entrepreneurs and all the other guests then had the opportunity to network and celebrate around a few drinks.
