For the second stage of our Startup Tour, we chose Stockholm, the home of over 22,000 tech companies, and the city with the highest share of high-tech employment in the EU – 18 % of the city’s population works in high tech related jobs! On September 30, local entrepreneurs gathered at SUP46, a meeting & co-working space especially desgined for inspired people eager to change the world. 8 of Sweden’s most promising startups had been selected to pitch in front of a first-class jury (photo), composed of Fredrik Cassel (Creandum), Ada Fredelius (Internetworld, IDG Sweden), Eric Fuchs (of Carrefour, sponsor or LeWeb’s Startup Tour & Startup Competition) and Hjalmar Winbladh (Wrapp). The session was hosted by HandsOn.TV‘s Rodrigo Barros.
All visitors were welcomed by a customed blackboard, inviting them to take pictures of themselves as “stars” of the event:

Our partner Mentimeter had prepared a special website for the occasion, allowing attendees to vote for their favourite pitch. They launched it with a quite surprising question!

The competition then took place on stage, and ended with a winner: NaturalCycles! The startup allows you to track your fertility, thus providing a natural birth-control solution. Its founders won the right to pitch at our Worldwide Startup Competition in Paris in December!
